Governing Board Members

Before you this evening is the consideration and adoption of the Pinon Unified Performance Based Compensation System.  This program is a result of Proposition 301, an initiative passed by voters in 2001.  This is a tax driven program with one fund dedicated to performance pay for instructional staff.  Please note this is performance pay, pay that may be earned as a direct result of “teacher compensation increases based on performance.” Teachers and administrators developed the plan in the summer of 2007 build around the annual measurable objectives.  The first plan was adopted for a three-year cycle (2007-2009).  Very little performance awards were made during these three years.
