LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and/or Guardians:
Welcome to a new school year! I am Lori Chee and my clans are: To'ahani born for To'aheedliinii, maternal grandparents are To'dichiinii and paternal grandparents are Honaghaani. I am from the Black Mesa-Kits'iili area. I am a graduate of Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. I have been in the education field as a high school English Teacher, Adjunct Faculty Member and Educational Leader/Administrator for over 25 years. I look forward to building partnerships with our Pinon families to continue to develop a rigorous and excelling educational program for the youth in the Pinon area.
We are excited to start the new school year. We will continue to provide various programming to benefit our PAMS students:
Intervention during the school day with small student teacher ratio
Daily Math to review basic math facts for all students
Sustained silent reading for all students
1:1 chromebooks
Afterschool tutoring and homework help
Clubs and afterschool enrichment like Student Council, STEAM, Pow Wow, Art Club, Chess Club, etc.
Athletic program
Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Program
Students will rotate between 9 classes
Our goals for the upcoming school year are:
80% or more students passing weekly DFAs
80% or more students passing the quarterly benchmark tests
Increase 10% on all state tests (AASA, AZ Science, etc.)
95% or higher attendance rate
