Yá’át’ééh,

Congratulations to Pinon High School senior Kabibe Yellowhair for obtaining the Navajo Nation Seal of Bilingual Proficiency.  Kabibe passed the assessment at the Yaa Ákonizii’ - Advanced Level. Pinon High School and the Diné Studies Program utilized the unofficial results of the Diné Language Proficiency Assessment to identify high school seniors with the Diné language competency and proficiency to pass the assessment.

There was a total of five (5) high school seniors from across the Navajo Nation and nearby border towns who received this distinguished seal. These scholars attend Pinon High School, Many Farms High School, Holbrook High School, and Ganado High School.

Pinon USD Diné Studies Program and the JOM Indian Education Committee members are incredibly proud of Kabibe for her efforts to speak and maintain the Diné language. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
